We recently took part in an event and our clean treats went down…well…like a treat! Find our recipes below and let us know what you think!
Bliss Balls:
1 cup oats (about 100g)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter
¼ cup mixed chopped nuts and seeds
Optional Extras:
2/3 cup toasted coconut flakes
1/2 cup ground flax seed
1/2 cup chocolate chips or cacao nibs
1/3 cup honey, agave nectar or chopped dates (mixed with a little hot water)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Stir all ingredients together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed and not too sticky (if too sticky, add more ground oats, if too crumbly, add a touch of water) . Cover and let chill in the refrigerator for half an hour. Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you would like. We like to then roll the balls in coconut, seeds or cacao nibs. Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week. Makes about 20-25 balls.
Protein Flapjack:
1 cup oats
1 scoop vanilla whey protein (optional)
1/2 cup berries (we used raspberries and blueberries)
1/2 cup mixed nuts
almond milk
Optional Extras:
1/3 cup honey, agave nectar or chopped dates (mixed with a little hot water)
chia seeds
mixed seeds
nut butter
Stir all dry ingredients and fruit together in a medium bowl until thoroughly mixed, add the almond milk a little at a time until the mixture becomes sticky and not crumbly. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 150 for 20 minutes. Let cool then cut into portions with a sharp knife. Makes about 20-24 slices.
